Dr. Larry Sanger founds Citizendium
Citizendium.org will be the better Wikipedia - he tells us on his new web site. The original founder of the Wikipedia, Dr. Larry Sanger, announced a non profit status for his new project.
The project, started by a founder of Wikipedia, aims to improve on the Wikipedia model by adding “gentle expert oversight” and requiring contributors to use their real names.
Dr. Sanger left the Wikipedia project in 2002 and the Co-founder Jimmy Wales (who worked originally on a search engine for starlets) deleted his name as one of the founders of Wikipedia on the Wikipedia sites.
